Coursework

As an assured admit to the Hussman School of Journalism and Media at UNC-Chapel Hill, I have completed foundational courses that emphasize strong writing, strategic thinking, and media literacy. In MEJO 137: Principles of Advertising and Public Relations, I explored the core concepts of branding, audience analysis, and media strategy, gaining insight into the evolving world of persuasive communication. MEJO 153: Writing and Reporting helped refine my journalistic writing skills through news-style assignments that prioritized clarity, accuracy, and AP style. Meanwhile, MEJO 121: Introduction to Digital Storytelling introduced me to multimedia production tools and visual storytelling techniques, strengthening my ability to communicate effectively across digital platforms. Together, these courses have built a solid foundation for pursuing advanced work in media, journalism, or strategic communication.

Extracurricular activities

Outside the classroom, I’ve taken on a variety of roles that reflect my passion for storytelling, leadership, and community engagement. As a Hussman School Student Ambassador, I help represent the school to prospective students and support outreach initiatives that promote academic and professional opportunities within the journalism and media program. I also report for The Daily Tar Heel, where I write timely, research-driven stories on campus life, student issues, and university affairs. Within Delta Delta Delta, I serve as Banner Chair, overseeing creative projects and visual branding for chapter events.
